 RoadMap was born during a long hazy sunny day in Rapperswil which lies peacefully on the shores of lake of Zürich. Michael Hahn was discussing his next adventure with friends and family; how he had been walking recently through the Swiss Alps to prepare for the strenuous walking that lay ahead in the next twelve months. His journey, which started last December, will mainly be through the Peruvian Mountains jungles and plateaus. Michael's travel book on Peru, which has become a best seller, took six years to come to fruition.Travelling for five years through Central and South America is a severe challenge to ones willpower and stamina, it tests the character and attitude of ones being. He knows what is needed for surviving in the toughest regions of the Amazon to its source high in the Andes, from fireland to the deserts of Mexico and the ice crowned volcano peaks where the lack of oxygen makes breathing an agony.
Michael Hahn tested Road Map outdoor wear to the extremes and puts his name forward as proof that the Swiss designed alpine range passed the test. It was time to bring a collection to the European market that would be suitable for individuals who want to walk, climb and explore the outdoors.
